Refill, Reuse, Repeat: A Smarter Way to Care for Curls

At Only Curls, we believe looking after your curls shouldn’t come at the expense of the environment, and that’s why we’re always working to reduce our impact. One of our latest steps is the introduction of Refill Pouches - a practical, lower-waste option for your curl care routine.

Why Choose Only Curls Refills?

Our Refill Pouches are designed to give you all the goodness of your favourite curly hair products with less plastic packaging. Here's why they’re a win-win:

  • Sustainable beauty: Our new Refill Pouches use up to 97% less plastic than the equivalent plastic bottles.
  • Same products you love, just more of them: No formula changes - just your curl favourites now available in a bigger, more sustainable format.
  • Made by request (just for you!): You asked, we listened. These pouches are all about giving our curl community what they’ve been asking for.
  • More product, better value: 500ml of curl magic in every pouch - more curls, more savings.

What’s Available In Our Refill Pouches?

We’re rolling out 500ml refills across our best-selling range, which includes:

  • All Curl Cleanser: Our gentle sulfate-free shampoo that cleanses without stripping the curls, leaving them soft, hydrated, and defined.
  • All Curl Conditioner: Our Conditioner is rich in moisture to detangle and nourish curls effortlessly.
  • Hydrating Curl Creme: A lightweight, leave-in styling cream that hydrates and enhances natural curl patterns without weighing the hair down.
  • Enhancing Curl Gel: Our flexible hold gel that defines and holds curls while keeping them soft, bouncy, and frizz-free.
  • Mega Hold Curl Gel: This strong-hold gel locks in definition and keeps curls in place all day with no crunch or flaking.

How To Use The Refill Pouches

We’ve designed the refill nozzles to fit perfectly into our 250ml/300ml bottles for easy refilling:

1. Remove the pump/lid from your original Only Curls bottle.
2. Unscrew the cap from the Refill Pouch and pour into your bottle.
3. Fill the bottle as required.
4. Replace the cap on the Refill Pouch and store for next use.

With the summer coming up, you may want to refill your 100ml bottles for travelling. We’d recommend doing this from your full-sized bottles for ease, as the refill spout is a little large for the smaller bottles.

A Step Towards Better Sustainability

Our Refill Pouches are part of a broader commitment to reduce waste and make responsible packaging choices.

Please note: The spout and cap are kerbside recyclable, but the pouch itself is not recyclable. We chose the pouch format because it uses between 95-97% less plastic than the equivalent bottles, and in practice, only 20–30% of PET is actually recycled due to system limitations. So this makes the pouch a greener option overall, with a smaller plastic footprint and lower emissions.

Small Switch, Big Impact

Switching to refills might seem like a small step - but multiplied by our community of curl-lovers, it adds up to a huge difference. Every refill means less plastic, less waste, and more conscious care for our curls and the environment.

So the next time you top up your All Curl Cleanser or Hydrating Creme, choose our Refill Pouches - and know you’re doing something beautiful for your curls and the planet.
